Why WaitAway and not pagers?
These days, each and every guest coming into your restaurant or business is likely to have the best paging device in their pocket. A mobile phone. We all know the pains of the current pager systems: they break, go missing, and have outrageous costs to replace and maintain.

Crowded entryways you say? Constant questioning of "Where am I in the list" or "How much more time" are no longer an issue with WaitAway's customer facing link. We provide guests the ability to see their current position in line and estimated time remaining from their own phone so you can focus on adding and paging more guests.

What do I need to start using WaitAway?
Just a computer, laptop or iPad (support for other tablets coming soon!) and an internet connection. We take care of the rest. Sign up for a free 14-day trial by clicking here.

How long does setup take?
Less than a minute. Once you've signed up for a free trial account, we will email your login details and you can begin using WaitAway immediately and start sending texts today.

Is WaitAway compatible with my guests' mobile phones?
WaitAway works with all major U.S. based mobile phone carriers and any mobile phone that has text message capabilities.

What if a guest does not want to provide their mobile number?
Not to worry. For guests who choose not to provide their phone number, you can simply add them to the wait list and select "Find" from the alerts option in order to locate the guest the old fashioned way. If you have an existing pager system, you can also enter the pager number in the "Notes" field for the guest informantion.

What happens if a guest waiting doesn't come back after being paged?
Guests who do not return after being paged can be marked as "Canceled" and will be moved into a panel where they are stored for your guest records. Should the guest show up after being marked "Canceled", you can easily return that guest to the wait list with the push of a button and extend their wait time if necessary.

Who has access to my guests' mobile numbers?
Once a walk-in or reservation is added to the list, only you will have the ability to see a guest's mobile number. At the end of the day, WaitAway backs up all daily activity and clears any guests remaining on the wait list. Rest assured, your guests' mobile numbers are secure and will never be contacted or shared with any third party companies.

What happens if my computer should break? Will I lose my wait list and reservations?
Not a chance. WaitAway's platform is completely web-based, meaning that your data is always safe and secure no matter what computer you use. Should your computer break down for any reason, simply use a replacement desktop, laptop or iPad, then sign in to your account and you're back up and running. We take care of everything "under the hood" so that you don't have to.

How do I cancel my account?
While we'd be sorry to see you go, you can cancel your account at any time by visiting the Account area and clicking 'Cancel Subscription'.
Please note that there are no refunds for partial months and any additional text messages overage charges will be billed at the end of the month.
